Bloomington families

Brian Emerson has spent the better part of two decades helping Bloomington homeowners think clearly about one of the biggest financial decisions they'll ever make: what to do with the equity they've spent 20, 30, sometimes 40 years building in their home.
He came to reverse mortgages the long way around, through traditional purchase and refinance lending, and along the way he noticed something. The families who ended up happiest weren't the ones who got the lowest rate. They were the ones who understood what they were signing, what their options really were, and how their home fit into the rest of their retirement plan.
So Brian rebuilt his practice around education. He runs monthly webinars, publishes plain-English guides, and spends the first meeting with almost every client answering questions, not pitching a loan.

Brian's work is grounded in family, three generations of them. A few of the faces that keep him showing up every day.

A conversation with Brian is educational, unhurried, and never salesy.
Whether you're planning retirement, buying your next home in Bloomington, or helping aging parents, start with a conversation, not a pitch.
"Brian didn't try to sell us anything. He drew a diagram on a napkin and answered every question we had. Two months later we called back."
